The Super Bowl of Pop Culture Rules
Teams consist of 3 players
Teams in the Under 18 category must have all their members be under the age of 18 on the day of the event.
Teams in the open category can consist of any age players.
All matches are drawn at random the night before the event.
It will be in a bracket format.
Bracket will be displayed at the event for info.
Start by flipping a coin.
The team that wins the flip picks a numbered envelope.
The category is in the envelope.
The category is revealed and the teams have 30 seconds to pick their representative.
Players are not allowed to play two categories in a row.
Each team will answer a question in that category.
If the player misses the question, that player is eliminated.
If they get the question right they stay in the game.
Teams will alternate picking the category
The match goes until all the players on one team are eliminated
If all categories are completed and there are still players left on both teams we go to a sudden death question.
Teams announce their player for the sudden death. First to buzz in will answer.
If they get the question wrong their team is eliminated.
If they answer correctly their team wins.
Each team will have one audience lifeline.
Audience lifeline is done by the audience texting in their thoughts on the answer.
If the contestant uses the lifeline the host will read the most popular answer by the audience. The contestant can use that answer or choose not to. But once they choose to go to the audience that lifeline is done.
Any audience member shouting out answers to the players will be asked to leave with no refund.
All participants will be required to sign a sheet giving Region Media permission to air the video of the contest.
Prizes to be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division
ALL DECISIONS ON ANSWERS WILL BE DECIDED ON BY THE JUDGES AND ARE CONSIDERED FINAL.
